Holly Schymik’s primary objective is to provide her clients with realistic, no-nonsense expertise and advice. Holly is focused on clearly identifying her clients’ goals and objectives, setting realistic expectations, and reaching resolution in the most cost-effective manner possible. She has over 30 years of experience, and uses her expertise to help her clients find the most appropriate solutions to reach their desired outcomes. As no one approach fits all cases, Holly works in close collaboration with her clients to determine the best approach to their case - whether through direct negotiations, mediation, collaborative methods, and/or litigation. Holly has handled a wide variety of agreed and litigated family law actions in Dallas County and surrounding counties, including Kaufman, Collin, Denton, Ellis, Rockwall and Tarrant counties.
Holly has been licensed to practice law since 1990. She started her legal career as a litigation associate at a prestigious Dallas law firm where she practiced general litigation, including handling many high conflict and high net worth divorces. In 1996, Holly opened her own law firm, concentrating exclusively on family law matters. Holly has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1999 and was recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer in Family Law by Thomson Reuters in 2004-2006.
In addition to her practice, Ms. Schymik has lectured at various events, including events sponsored by the Dallas Bar Association, University of Houston School of Law, and NBI Institution.
Ms. Schymik graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, where she was a Teaching Quizmaster and Intern for Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice Nathan Hecht.
